  • Abstract
    A u.h.f. oscillator utilising an X band Gunn diode is described. The output power is discontinuous with frequency, and is obtained only when two X band frequencies separated by the u.h.f. are supported. This provides evidence for the nature of the low-frequency negative resistance of the diode.
