Contraction-mapping fixed-point theorem and finite-time stability

The contraction-mapping fixed-point theorem is utilised to obtain information on the finite-time stability of a class of nonlinear time-varying single-loop control systems. The loop of a system, from the class of systems investigated, consists of an operator which satisfies a Lipschitz condition in tandem with a time-invariant linear causal convolution operator.
