Abstract :
A versatile and simple CMOS waveform generator Is presented. Its frequency can be voltage/current controlled from 0.01 Hz to 100 MHz. It generates square, triangle, and ramp waveforms and can be extended easily to produce variable-duty cycle pulse waveforms. It is based on a CMOS current comparator with programmable saturation levels. Besides frequency control terminals it includes oscillation and ramp enable control terminals. Experimental results verifying the operation of the circuit are presented
