  • Abstract
    The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) elected two new officers who will start their term on 1 January 2014. They are as follows. Rabab K. Ward (University of British Columbia) will serve as 2014-2015 SPS president-elect. She succeeds Alex Acero (Microsoft) who becomes president on 1 January 2014. Konstantinos (Kostas) N. Plataniotis (University of Toronto) will serve as 2014-2016 SPS vice president, membership. He succeeds John Treichler (Raytheon Applied Signal Technology), who has held the post of vice president, awards and membership since January 2011. The IEEE SPS appointed Jos?? M.F. Moura, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), to serve as 2014-2016 SPS Awards Board chair. He succeeds John Treichler (Raytheon Applied Signal Technology), who has held the post of SPS Awards Board chair since January 2011. Additionally, Jose M.F. Moura has been appointed to serve as 2014-2016 SPS Awards Board chair. He succeeds John Treichler (Raytheon Applied Signal Technology), who has held the post of SPS Awards Board chair since January 2011.
