Abstract
A novel analysis method of lattice-ring structures is proposed. It uses a recursive relationship between different orders of optical paths to derive individual transfer functions of all orders. The total transfer function of the device is simply an infinite summation of them. It exhibits a compact form and can relate device parameters and poles mathematically.
