Abstract
The performance of a system for zero-cross-over, amplitude- and risetime-compensated (ARC) timing of coaxial Ge(Li) detectors is analyzed using an average-pulse-shape method. The standard deviation of walk and noise jitter as a function of energy deposited in the detector are computed, and the FWHM of amplitude- and risetime-compensated (ARC) timing spectra are verified by comparing them with experimental results published elsewhere. Deviations of the centroid of ARC prompt time distributions from the corresponding pack positions are studied through mathematical expressions
