Abstract :
Discusses an improved technique which not only diverts turn-off energy away from the switching transistor, but does so with maximum efficiency by passing the turn-off energy directly to the load using a single capacitor, transformer, and diode. Included are the circuit´s operational characteristics, design considerations, and an illustration using a conventional forward DC-to-DC converter.
