Abstract :
A Weibull density function is proposed as the biasing input noise distribution in importance sampling for digital communication system simulation. With this density function, a sample saving factor 2-4 orders larger than a previous composite technique could be obtained. Robustness with respect to the threshold setting is analysed.<>
