Abstract
Proposes a modified integrated injection logic (I/SUP 2/L) structure called substrate fed threshold logic (SFTL) for the implementation of multivalued logic. In this structure, threshold current is supplied from the p/SUP +/ substrate to the top p region through the windows in the n/SUP +/ buried layer, and the magnitude of the threshold current is determined by the number of injection windows. The feasibility of the structure is discussed theoretically and experimentally. The results show that four-valued threshold logic is possible with the proposed structure.
