Abstract :
By minimizing a quadratic measure of the error in the passband and stopband, a 2-D diamond-shaped finite impulse response, (FIR) eigenfilter is designed for sampling-structure conversion. Time- and frequency-domain constraints, are easily incorporated into this method, such that the design difficulty inherent to sample-conversion filters can be effectively solved. A design example and simulation with test pictures are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach
