Abstract :
A latch for temporary logic data storage is one of the important logic elements for Josephson computer circuits. A special circuit configuration for overcoming the problems of the conventional DC-powered latch has been proposed, experimentally fabricated, and tested. A complete current transfer time of 50 ps was obtained in a computer simulation, and it was found that the speed could be improved merely by increasing the Josephson current density.
