Abstract :
This brief considers the open problem concerning the BIBO stability of mutually inverse 2-D digital filters in the presence of nonessential singularities of the second kind on T2. Necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the BIBO stability of mutually inverse pairs of 2-D digital filters having such singularities on T2. Several illustrative examples are considered
