Abstract :
There are nine Magnox power stations in the UK. The economic life of these Magnox stations was originally planned to be 20 years, and although considerable effort has been put into extending this for as long as possible, it is now clear that the beginning of the end of the Magnox stations is at hand. Disposing of these stations will cost a great deal and may take a very long time.
