Abstract :
Previous work, concerned with the performance of a nonlinear turboalternator model operating with excitation and speeder-motor control developed from an equivalent linearised-model sequence, is extended to study the eigenvalue and control-law trajectories existing under short-circuit-fault conditions. The study provides a more detailed understanding of the dynamics of the machine system during transient conditions and will form a basis for obtaining an improved overall system design.
