Abstract
A single-chip implementation of the analog signal processing functions required for full-duplex voice-band modem operation over twisted pair wires is described. Echo path signal-to-signal harmonic distortion plus noise exceeds 65 dB. The device is implemented in a 3.5-μm twin-tub CMOS process, and typically dissipates 180 mW.
