Abstract
The problems encountered in the design of grounding systems for digital systems to meet both the requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the equipment manufacturer´s site planning manuals and installation instructions are discussed. The authors point out the NEC requirements and the inconsistencies between the NEC and the manufacturer´s requirements. An integrated grounding practice which can be followed by the equipment manufacturers, engineering and construction companies, and process and manufacturing companies is described
