  • Abstract
    Four outstanding Short Courses were offered in conjunction with the 1984 Nuclear Science Symposium and the Symposium on Nuclear Power Systems. "Digital Signal Processing" was offered on Monday, October 29, while a related course, "Digital Image Processing," was given on Tuesday, October 30. Those courses were designed as a sequence. Also on Tuesday, October 30, the course, "Timing Spectroscopy," was presented. Following the Symposium, "Personal Computers in Nuclear Instrumentation" was offered on Saturday, November 3. These courses were tutorial and designed to update specialists on new developments of high interest. They were intended for the nonspecialist who desires to become acquainted with technological aspects of the various subjects. All Short Courses were designed by experts recognized in their fields.
