Abstract :
A method of estimating the electron temperatures in intense, relativistic, electron-beam-produced plasmas is presented. This method compares spectral line intensities obtained from visible emission spectroscopy to those expected from local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) plasmas. The line intensities, particularly those originating from highly excited states, are corrected for the effects of the fast-beam electrons
