  • Abstract
    The School of Physics has installed a Data General MV8000 supermini to support data acquisition and analysis in the fields of nuclear science and electron imaging. Satellite PDP11/24 and PDPll/40 (x2) minis run real-time control and acquisition software under RT11. V3B and are connected to the MV by custom high-speed (<=500Kb/sec) parallel data links operating over 100 metres. The design and operation of the system in a multiprogramming environment will be reviewed.
