Abstract
The Los Alamos National Laboratory is building a 32-bit computer on a FASTBUS board. It will use the National Semiconductor 32032 chip set, including the demand-paged memory management, floating point slave processor and interrupt control chips. The board will support 4 megabytes of memory which can be accessed by the processor over an on-board execution bus at processor speeds and which can be accessed by the FASTBUS at 80 megabytes per second. A windowed, direct memory access mechanism allows transfers of up to all of the memory.
