Abstract :
We derive, in this paper, an exact formula for the autocorrelation function of a quantized sum of a deterministic signal and Gaussian noise. This result shows that if the voltage between quantizing levels is small compared to the rms noise voltage, the quantized autocorrelation function differs from the unquantized autocorrelation function by an error term of simple form. An example is included to illustrate the analysis.
