Abstract
Expressions for the determination of the voltage-distortion factor of a network loaded with several thyristor-regulated DC motor drives have been derived taking into account the simultaneous commutation in the convertors. Approximate expressions for the determination of the voltage-distortion factor are presented. A comparison of computation results with experimentally obtained values of the network voltage-distortion has confirmed the accuracy of the presented method.
