  • Abstract
The evolution of hydrogen from a thermally cured silicone primary coating has been evaluated. Using the experimental data, the maximum amount of hydrogen generated from this source in the lifetime of a cable has been estimated. This has been shown to have a negligible effect upon cable attenuation.
