  • Abstract
    The CAMAC Serial Highway Interface System (IEEE Standard 595-1982) has proven to be a valuable method for implementing multi-crate CAMAC control, monitoring and data-gathering systems. However, certain applications require an extremely high information transfer rate. The enhanced serial highway system described here can provide a data throughput more than three times that which can be obtained with the standard defined hardware.
