Abstract
A new four-transistor high-pass filter with adjustable Q factor is proposed. The transfer function is examined by using a high-frequency model of a MOSFET. The Q factor depends on the gain of the source-follower, and the intrinsic and parasitic capacitances of the distributed MOSFET and element PMOSFET. The cutoff frequency and the Q factor can be separately tuned by the control voltage. The new high-pass filter has the sharpest frequency response of all existing transistor-only high-pass filters
