Abstract :
A special sampling system has been designed and constructed to record pulse-shape information of extremely fast singly occurring events at low energy levels. The new instrument delivers 40 amplitude values from a single-shot pulse, with risetimes down to 100 ps and an absolute sensitivity of only a few millivolts.
