Abstract :
Preliminary studies on electronically scannable leaky-wave antennas integrated in a dielectric waveguide are reported. Electronic scan is simulated by a small mechanical motion from which the relation between the scan angle and the necessary change in the dielectric constant can be derived. The work is also applicable to electronically tunable bandstop filters.
