  • Abstract
    We report the experimental demonstration of a colinear interaction between an optical film-guided wave and an acoustic surface wave producing a noncoplanar optical-beam output. With an interaction length of 4 mm and an acoustic-power input of 2.5 W at 86 MHz, 5% of the guided optical wave was scattered out of the film.
