Abstract
Previous analyses of the input impedance of a thin biconical antenna embedded in a conducting medium are extended to include the effect of the air-ground interface. It is supposed that the h.f. antenna could be located in a spherical insulating cavity. A brief description of the basic theory is given, together with illustrative calculations.
