Abstract
A simultaneoues integral equation system is presented and solved for both free-charge and bonded-charge distribution functions, as a new numerical approach to analysing TEM-wave transmission lines. In principle, various kinds of transmission lines, including parallel-wire lines, coaxial lines, microstrip-type lines, triplines etc., and almost all of their important parameters, i.e. characteristic impedance, phase wavelength, conductor and dielectric losses etc., can be easily calculated using this generalised method, and almost the same computer program. Calculation accuracy and the practical value for engineering purposes are demonstrated.
