Abstract :
A multimode waveguide with impedance loaded walls is investigated. After analysing the most important ways for achieving a surface impedance in the optical range, an asymptotic expression of the radiated field is derived. In Section 6 of the paper the coefficients of the modes excited by a linear current, put outside the waveguide, are evaluated. Many numerical results for different surface impedances are reported.
