Abstract :
A flexible, multiuser engineering test environment established for the engineers in SLAC´s Electronic Instrumentation Engineering group is described. The system hardware includes a standard MicroVAX II and MicroVAX I with multiple CAMAC, FASTBUS, and GPIB instrumentation buses. The system software components include MicroVMS licenses with DECNET/SLACNET, Fortran, Pascal, FORTH, and a versatile graphical display package. In addition, there are several software utilities available to facilitate FASTBUS and CAMAC prototype hardware debugging.
