Abstract
Expressions for the propagation constants in the electrically asymmetric pyrolytic graphite are derived. of the four possible modes of propagation, three attenuate heavily and the fourth can propagate to practical distances (∼ 1 mm). Material having such propagation characteristics has been found to be highly suitable for mode filtering.
