Abstract :
An application of acoustic surface waves for image processing is reported. The information compression of videophone signals takes advantage of the so-called Hadamard transformation. Acoustic-surface-wave tapped delay lines are efficient for the achievement of such a transform in a low-cost real-time device. The results of initial experiments are reported.
