Abstract
Experimental and theoretical results on the operation of single-crystal bonded acoustic-surface-wave transducers are presented. They show that broadband low-insertion-loss transduction can be achieved at frequencies up to 50 MHz. The coupling strengths realisable are greater than those possible with the piezoelectric substrates currently available.
