Abstract
A surface-acoustic-wave tapped delay line is used as the basis of a pseudonoise-code generator operating at 20 Mbits. The temperature range of operation for nonisopaustic materials has been extended by a novel arrangement of the delay line and associated circuitry. In consequence, high-acoustic-coupling low-loss materials may be used, offering the potential of high-bit-rate operation.
