Abstract :
The advent of centimetric radar techniques in the early 1940´s initiated the investigation of some rather novel system applications. One example is that of locating the firing position of hostile artillery. The basic problems in the weapon locating scene are reviewed and the evolutionary progression in UK system developments over a 30 year period is described.
