Abstract :
The relation between the scattering-matrix eigenvalue phase/frequency responses and the energy stored in a general microwave junction filled with an anisotropic material can be used to facilitate the design of broadband microwave circuits. The technique of this approach is illustrated for a waveguide Y-junction circulator.
