Abstract :
Speaking out may be the ethical thing to do, but too often it comes at a steep price. This article discusses the problems faced by ´whistle-blowers´ - people who discover problems or unlawful activities at work and speak up about them. It details many cases of reprisals taken against such people and outlines a series of steps which should be taken in order to avoid such an outcome.
