Abstract
Most of these industrial uses of wireless solutions are involved with monitoring such as telemetry applications. This paper focuses on newer emerging technologies such as BlueTooth, ZigBee and wireless Ethernet. The main motivation for industrial end users is to improve their competitiveness. There is a need to improve process operations, product quality and productivity with an ever-decreasing workforce. Industry must look to new technologies to help meet these demands. They do not use them for the sake of the technology, but for the business benefit derived from using new technology.
