  • Abstract
    An adaptive version of the difference detection and correction system for the partial removal of transmission errors in linear p.c.m. speech without the use of channel coding is presented. The improvement in s.n.r. compared to the nonadaptive system is approximately 3 dB for transmission bit error-rates between 0.5 and 5%.
