  • Abstract
    A simple method for determining the feedback polynomial coefficients of a maximal-length sequence is derived. The method is to look for the longest run of zeros in the received sequence and use those digits plus the preceeding n digits to compute the feedback polynomial coefficients. This method permits simple hand computation or hard-ware implementation for the computation of the coefficients.
