  • Abstract
    A VLSI chip designed to support the Graphical Kernel System, a two-dimensional graphics system, is discussed. A GKS machine using the authors´ chip is presented. It is microprogrammed to meet the space and control requirements of the functions for which it is designed, and has a pipelined architecture.
