  • Abstract
    A method for generating advanced television (ATV) signals with an arbitrary function generator (AGF) is presented. The application of these simulated ATV signals to the study of interference from ATV signals into NTSC (National Television System Committee) television systems is then discussed. Since the AFG is a programmable generator, it was found that one can generate a variety of NTSC signals, which can include multipath and noise and could be used to test an NTSC ghost canceller
