Abstract
The ternary solvent system, BaO-BaF2 - B2 O3 has been examined to produce several magnetic bubble garnet films by liquid phase epitaxy. Contrary to the conventional PbO-B2 O3 solvents, the BaO-BaF2 -B2 O3 Solvents are characterized by negligible volatility and slight toxicity. High quality bubble films of gallium- or aluminum-substituted rare earth iron garnets have been successfully deposited on GGG
