Sequential regression considerations of an adaptive filtering example

In this communication we discuss an example that has appeared in two recent articles [1], [2], in terms of a sequential regression formulation. The example concerns the approximation of a fixed second-order filter by a first-order adaptive filter, when subjected to a white noise input.
