Abstract
This book on networked and embedded control systems (NECS) covers the entire field in reasonable detail. The handbook is an oasis of information, offering a mix of basic and advanced topics, new solutions, and technologies arising from the most recent research efforts, and emerging trends to help the reader stay current in the fast-changing field of NECS. The book is not for students who want to learn control theory or embedded systems, as there are no exercises or questions. It also would not serve as a programmer´s book because there is virtually no source code. It does serve as a useful compendium of the field.
