  • Abstract
A theory is outlined by which a thermionic convertor might operate at an anode-cathode spacing of about 1 mm, thus removing a major drawback to the exploitation of this direct generator of electric power. Successful testing of the theory could lead to a new low-pollution multifuel power unit.
