Abstract
We have measured the temperature dependence of the magnetomechanical coupling factor, k, in Tb.26 Dy.74 Fe2 and found a temperature independent region from 20 C to 60 C. In addition we have studied the Tbx Dyy Hoz Fe2 alloy system. We find a 10% increase in k33 and a 70% increase in the relative permeability when compared with the Tbx Dyy Fe2 alloy system.
