Abstract :
Some properties of a new single-crystal optical fibre are described. The fibre is constructed with the nonlinear optical crystal meta-nitroaniline as its core. In its present configuration, the fibre acts as an effective polariser. Alternative configurations may yield a number of electro-optic fibre devices.
